It's put my mind at rest; I'll tell my husband you said I don't need to wash his anymore, then :)Terry Tylerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15077413235902203848noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513470670765405287.post-14454631843162714152013-03-10T05:09:31.475-07:002013-03-10T05:09:31.475-07:00I'm sure that the men after 6 months simply tu...I'm sure that the men after 6 months simply turned their underwear inside out since the other side was obviously clean. We're guys and we're just like that, we can take dirty clothes out of the linen and spray some Febreeze on them and suddenly there perfectly acceptable to wear. There are some men that are fashionista's but we call them women, my dad died at 59 with lou gehrig's and I still miss the old boy. And Terry and I know that if she were still in her right mind, she would be making these very same jokes. Oh, and I imagine their underwear was welded to them after a year, in fact on further contemplation I really, really don't want to think about it!Julia Gibbsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513470670765405287.post-31114209628575817902012-03-27T02:57:46.231-07:002012-03-27T02:57:46.231-07:00Oh we all laugh about Mum's condition all the ...Oh we all laugh about Mum's condition all the time, if we didn't we'd etc etc! Lucy, I didn't know you didn't use 'mum' - I am from 'down south' in the UK but have recently come to live 'up north' (Geordieland - it's just below Scotland), where they all say 'mam' - I sent my mother a special Geordie mother's day card on it which said "To Mam" but, sadly, she was too far gone to get the joke - but it made Dad laugh, anyway!<br />Karen, just DON'T think about the underwear. Perhaps it's like people what people say about hair, that if you don't wash it for a year it cleans itself....Terry Tylerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15077413235902203848noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513470670765405287.post-21257770551834663112012-03-26T20:16:49.703-07:002012-03-26T20:16:49.703-07:00So very sorry about your mum (I love that word, we...So very sorry about your mum (I love that word, we Texans call ours ma, mama, etc., never mum). I agree with Karen. Love that you read a book out of desperation, a very interesting book. Alzheimers is a horrible disease that steals the essence of our loved ones. That you can find any humor in this situation, is a testament to the type of person your are. We must love fiercely, every day, because we never know what tomorrow may bring. You are my new hero, Terry!!Lucynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513470670765405287.post-2950761287113408362012-03-26T15:04:46.287-07:002012-03-26T15:04:46.287-07:00Love your blog Terry! Loved the set up of nothing to do and then getting caught up in the unlikely book of polar exploration. And twat, died at that part. Very good! Remind me to tell you about our very tiny experience on Alzheimers last month. No underwear for a year. Aaaagh, don't even want to think about that!Karen Wattshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09684114013267211364noreply@blogger.com
