One of those days when I thought I couldn't be bothered to go for my walk but was so glad I made the effort!
In the three years or so that I've been taking regular walks in this park, I have never seen anyone sitting on the 'Happy to Chat' bench. Plenty of people chatting away on all the others, though.
Really must wash these trainers... |
I would say that the 'happy to chat' bench should be renamed the 'caution, weirdo alert' bench. And lovely pictures, Tel; nice one, God, as Kenny Everett used to say!
ReplyDeleteAlso, horrendously patronising! Whoever had the idea to put it there doesn't know Geordies at all!
DeleteLovely spring colours, Terry. My favourite season, actually. Maybe they should just remove the sign from that bench and people would use it...for chatting. I hope it's warmer there than it is here. I can't believe how long this cold weather is lasting.
ReplyDeleteNope, still cold! Even when sunny it's still jumper, jacket and wish-I'd-worn-a-scarf!!
DeleteI'd probably sit on that bench to chat to myself! The cherry blossom is my favourite. I wish it would last longer though!
ReplyDeleteI know!!! You have to catch it during the right week or pfft, all on the ground!!
