1960s/70s rock band picture quiz!!!

Well, I said to my husband, I said, I don't think it's a very good idea for a blog post, the audience for it would be strictly 50 and over, probably having been or still being a bit hippy-ish, with a silly sense of humour.  Kinda limited. He said, "well, it just entertained us for half an hour, didn't it?"

So here it is, for daft people who will never see 49 again - my picture quiz...

Name the 1960s/early 1970s rock band (answers at end!)

1.

They get more difficult, I promise!

2.

I saw the above chap (not the whole group!) (is that confusing?!) at Leeds Roundhay Park in 1982, supporting the Stones.  Top stuff!

  1. OMG I'm so old that I'd stopped listening to rock groups before this lot were born.

  3. Oh what a giggle this was TT. We (K & I tried it together) got 1,2 4,5,7,9, and 13. I mistook Velvet Underground for Deep Purple :) Some of them were pretty tough, but I loved the clues, especially the last one. Had no clue, of course, until I saw the answer, and then it was clear…and as for Johnny Cash - brilliant! Thanks - it did indeed occupy us for a jolly fifteen minutes or so :)

    1. Andrea, would you believe the whole post started because of that? I referred to someone as a 'cross bee', and said, all they need now are Stills, Nash and Young.... and so it went on!!!!!!

  6. Apparently I suck quite badly at this. Won't even say my score :)

    1. I am sure that is because you're not old enough to remember them, Jen - I say over 50, but I think I really mean not younger than 54, ie, my age, and you'd have to have been into rock since about the age of 11, as I was....!
