100 books to read in your lifetime

....according to Amazon!

Of these, I have read:

Angela's Ashes
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Great Expectations
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
In Cold Blood
Kitchen Confidential
Life After Life
On The Road
Pride And Prejudice
The Catcher in the Rye
The House At Pooh Corner
The Lord of the Rings
The Road
The Wind in the Willows
Valley of the Dolls

and I've listened to the audio book of 1984, does that count???

How about you?

  1. Good selection. I would add Stephen King's IT, due to the way he brings out characterisation in it, and also, by the same author, Bag of Bones, as he really draws on the suspense. Nothing like the television movie, which was a flop.

  2. Wow, great list of books ... I have read 17 from this list. Does that make me a bad reader and writer???? thanks for sharing n x
